Rob's Kitchen by Sophia Cameron

New Zealand author Sophia Cameron has produced this cook book in memory of her Canterbury-born mother Robyn, who spent most of the '80s travelling the world studying different cuisines, from the streets of Morocco to the coastlines of Greece. Taking inspiration from the Mediterranean style of cooking and gathering, Rob perfected the art of creating simple dishes made to share. Long, colourful plates that could be passed around the family table and licked clean. Rob’s Kitchen isn’t just about the creation of food, but the creation of memorable moments with friends and family. Whether it’s a Sunday long lunch, a beach fiesta or a girls’ afternoon tea, these dishes are Sophia’s interpretation of recipes that had meaning to Robyn and a tribute to the love that friends and family have provided over her lifetime.

As well as over 60 recipes, Rob’s Kitchen features menu suggestions for different occasions, bringing a thoughtful collection of local ingredients to your table. Dishes in this book have been recreated from recipes Robyn wrote down, notes she kept in her diaries, and from memories of her cooking. All quotes have been taken directly from her travel diaries and letters she sent home during her time in Europe. She started to create this book and unfortunately could not finish it, so it was her wish for Sophia to complete it for her. 

Proceeds from Rob’s Kitchen will go towards supporting women with metastatic breast cancer, through Sweet Louise charity.
