2025 Limited Edition Forest & Bird Metro Umbrella
Renowned Kiwi artist Tanya Wolfkamp brings her painterly touch to this year’s BLUNT x Forest & Bird collaboration. Featuring 16 native sea and shore birds, the canopy captures Aotearoa New Zealand’s coastal wildlife in a swirling, ocean-inspired design. Often overlooked in favour of their forest-dwelling counterparts, these coastal species are equally deserving of our attention, with many now classified as endangered or at risk.
To bring this story to life, BLUNT and Forest & Bird partnered with acclaimed artist Tanya Wolfkamp. Based on Waiheke Island and surrounded by the natural world that inspires her, Tanya brings a painterly approach shaped by her background in textile and mural design.
The 2025 Limited Edition Metro umbrella features 16 native sea and shore birds, including four species currently classified as nationally critical or endangered; the Hoiho (Yellow-eyed penguin), the Kōtuku (White heron), the Tarāpuka (Black-billed gull) and the Tūturuatu (Shore plover).
Compact, collapsible and convenient, the BLUNT Metro is always at hand while you are on the go. Designed for those who love life in the fast lane, live lightly and refuse to be held back by the elements.
The Metro is perfectly sized to give you coverage while not taking up too much street space. The Metro features an auto-open canopy to easily open with the push of a button and collapses back down to slide neatly into the carry sleeve. It's also built with a 360° spinning canopy to avoid damaging the core mechanism when knocked on an accident.
Compact in size, you can whip your BLUNT out of your handbag or briefcase whenever the weather acts up. Comes with a matching coloured sleeve.
